Best way to use variant with many different size groups

Hi

We have a costumer who sells childrens clothes. They use variants for size etc., but the problem is that they have many different size groups, as each brand has their own size logics. Some have numbers, some have ages and some s,m,l etc.

All in all, they have many different size series.

Now my question is, what would be the best way to organize this? Would it be creating a variant group for each of the size logics`? And if we do that, then we have the problem when they edit a product, and attach variant groups to it - they see a list of groups where 20+ of them are called size, and they donĀ“t know what is what - and we can not change it, as the name of the group is what is displayed frontend.

Are we doing something wrong`? What is the best way to solve this?

Hi Hans

I think you do it right - I would go for a variant group for each size logic and name them so they fit.

Getting the right name into the frontend I can see is an issue - you can probably solve that by using translation in the frontend - I'll create a work-item on finding a solution for this - using the description in the backend, or introduce a new field for backend use.
