Instantsearch and productgroups

Hi,

I'm working on a solution in DW 8.8.1.6, which is using the Instantsearch feature.
It works as it should, but we would like to change it to search in the current productgroup at first and if no results, then search in all other groups. 

I'm using the advanced search function in the eCom-module.

Well, I guess I could add the group-ID's as parameters to the query, if nothing is found.
