How does clustering work on DW9?

I'm testing a DW8 upgrade to DW9 but can't get the clustering to work.

Testing on 9.2.15

I can't find any documentation or backend UI for the configuration, but I have setup the two instances in the ClusteringInstance table and installed the Load Balancing module, but sites doesn't seem to be communicating because I can't see any changes on the secondary instance after editing content on the primary.

Any tips, help are appreciated, thanks.

Hi Kevin

If you look at this section: http://doc.dynamicweb.com/releases-and-downloads/releases/upgrading/upgrading-to-dynamicweb-9#2093 you will see that Load Balancing is not currently supported by DW9. It will be though in 9.3 where we have implemented a brand new load balancing feature.

The reason it was removed was because the old implementenation only supported content (and not Ecommerce very well), was running on DW8 caching and content models - both deprecated, and other technical reasons (i.e. too much communication between nodes).

The new implementation is much better and utilizes the new caching engine and content services and handles communication between nodes in an improved way.

9.3 is due August 29th.
