Personalization based on country IP

Hi Guys,

Is there a possibility to create personalization profiles based on Country IP? I know I can add a dependence on IP but how do I find out the range of IPs for a specific country and how do I use it to crate a range in the Profile settings?

Hi Nicolai,

I see the option is there "IP Address" "In Range", but there is only one input field. Range would assume start and end values.

Is there any way for me to create a new condition for the profile? Assuming I will be able to create some IP ranges?

Or create a "Visitor Country" criteria? The Visitor Country criteria seems to be useful especially for international websites.

What do you think?

Hi Adrian

You can make a RecognitionRule by implementing a IRecognitionRule interface. Attached you can find the buil-in rules in DW. You can make your own that takes a look at the country.

How about a clarification of the existing IP range option?

It's obvious it's not gonna help for my current case but just to make sure I understand how it works.
