DW9: Creating user in checkout with billing information. Is it possible?

Hi,

DW version: 9.2.16

I want to save customer information in checkout without creating login.

Is it possible to create a user in the Information step i checkout with the information from the form? Or do I have to make separate fields for this?

I have set the settings in the Cart module for creating user.

Hi Marie Louise

I am not sure I understand what you want? You want to save the order data on a user - you can just do that. If you have fields that you do not want users to fill out, just hide them and fill them using JS or hardcoded information.

It is what I want to achieve.

But as I understand from the example in Wrap the input fields needs some tags in Id and Name. But those are occopied by the tags for the order :)

So I need some hidden fields for the creation of the user and then use JS?

Hi Marie
You are able to create users from App Cart checkout, and from the Extranet App Create user.
Using the Extranet App you could add custom fields for the information that you need.

I have tried to use the App Cart app to create user with the example template from the Wrap, but no users are created. I wonder if I'm doing something wrong.

I have set the module up for creating users and selected a group.

I have attached the template I've tried to use below, which doesn't seem to be working.

Are there some other examples of usage?
