Hi Guys,

I have a request from one of our customers.

They want to run a campaign and reward any of their existing customers that will recommend their products to new customers.

Basically, if Customer x will recommend the products to NonCustomer Y, both Customer X and NonCustomer Y should get a benefit after NonCustomer Y will place the first order.

Any ideas?

Hi,

As far as I know, it's not something we support.

If you need to implement it yourself, you might be able to do something with the LoyaltyPoints functionality.

I'm thinking a custom LoyaltyPointProvider, and a hidden field with "recommendedBy" information, that is used to award loyalty points.

Either that, or a simple "OrderComplete" notification subscriber, that does the same.

The only way we have to "keep" benefits is Loyalty points, so if you don't want to customize everything, that's probably the best bet.
