Shipping per quantity

I need to have special shipping rules based on the quantity of products.

If the quantity is below a certain number, then use one shipping price and if its higher, use another price. If its higher than ten (10), use free shipping.

I've looked at both the shipping module and the ability to offer order discounts, but cannot find a match.

Do I have to make my own shipping provider, in order to have this functionality?

You can use weight and volume for this. Set one of them to 1 for all products and when weight or volume comes over that amount, apply another shipping fee.

Hi Nicolai,

Well, it doesn't behave like I would like it to.

All products have weight set to 1 kg. I would like the shipping to be 250 DKK. below 6 items (kg.) and 937,50 DKK from 7 items. If the total order amount exceeds 5000 DKK., the shipping is free.

Even though all shipping is set to 0 DKK. no matter the number of items (weight) or order amount.

Hi Kurt

Try to set it to "use lowest fee". Problem is, I think, that both weight is over 7 and order total over 5000. So 2 fees are valid at the same time. So it picks either the cheapest or most expensive one - depending on your setting.
