Hi

We have version 8.9.2.0 installed for a customer and I followed the instructions from the url:

http://devierkoeden.com/articles/extending-the-google-sitemap-feature-with-custom-content.aspx

But we still get no sitemap when we enter

the.test.url/en-US/sitemap.xml or the.test.url/sv-SE/sitemap.xml etc.

but only when we enter

the.test.url/sitemap.xml

and then we only get the en-US sitemap. Any ideas?

It is not possible in DW currently - you cannot have one in subfolders.

You can only have one in the root, and each website/language has its own.

I am sorry but I don't understand the "You can only have one in the root, and each website/language has its own."

Isn't this what I was saying? That it only works for the.test.url/sitemap.xml and that only gives en-US, but you are saying that it can't be done but still each website/language has it own? How do we access the sv-SE language sitemap then?

domain.com/da-dk is not a root - it is a subfolder

domain.com/ is the root....

So you can have domain.com/sitemap.xml and domain.dk/sitemap.xml but not domain.com/da-dk/sitemap.xml and domain.com/en-uk/sitemap.xml

Another question though;

Do you plan to add this functionality and if yes, when?

It is a really complicated area because of the many different ways solutions can be configured. It is tightly related to URLs and DW9 comes with a new URL system that so far handles pages and will extend to also hanlde i.e. Ecommerce etc. (which is still handled by the DW8 UrlProviders). Once that is in place, we can solve this in a manner that will fullfill more of the needs, i.e. this.
