Hi

We are building a website using mainly Items for content (Pages, Articles, Projects, Employees), and we want to bulid an index for searching purposes. The search results will appear as you type, and shown in a catagorized list (see attachment).  Of course, when you click a result, you go to the page where this item is placed. Items will be both paragaph and pagebased.

What would be the best way of building this Index in Standard Dynamicweb? Would I use the new Index, QueryPublisher, Item publisher etc.?

Wold I have to use inerritance in order to get different item types in the Index?

appreciate your help.

Hi Hans

The content indexbuilder indexes all the items and then you can use the querypublisher to publish the data. Using the item publisher would be to slow for 'as-you-type' searches.
