Setup guide showing on installation

Hello,

I'm trying to install on a server a solution I was working on locally (which works fine). I restored the database, copied the files, edited the GlobalSettings.aspx with the nex database, and created the website in IIS. However, when I try to access the website, I am greeted with the Dynamicweb setup guide instead of my solution.

What can cause that to happen ?

Hi,

The setup guide is shown if the "files" folder is missing, if the GlobalSettings.aspx file is missing, or if the "database" section in the Globalsettings.aspx file is missing.

Basically, it should be one of those.

Hm, it's neither of these, I have all that, and the permissions are set correctly.

If I create a local website with the exact files that I copy on the server, it runs fine.

Also my sql credentials are correct. In SSMS I can connect to the database with them.

Fixed it by having my sql user have the sysadmin role. Is it really necessary ?

No, it needs read, write and ddl rights.
