Ecom product and variants url provider and multiple shops

Hi,

My solution is containing two shops, attached to two websites that each have a default domain.

These two shops contains some products with the same name and product number but with different productids.

How do I get the product and variant url provider to handle this, the “Ensure unique paths for each area” checkbox only applies to pages?

That is currently not possible and will never be on DW8.

DW9 has a new URL engine which is prepped for this - it still uses the DW8 url providers for ecommerce so far, and we do not have a new version ready that handles this. The reason is that it is a bit complicated if we want to ensure that urls can resolve proper...

Hi Thomas,
I was looking on your soulution and have made a few changes after which I was able to see the products from the SHOP2(Honda MC) on the Honda MC site.
I’ve noted that there was wrong Shop selected for the HondaMC site, so I’ve changed it to be “Honda MC”, see attached screen.
Also I have disabled the option: "Use strict URL recognition".

After that I was able to see the products on "produktliste site" page, for checking I’ve visited:
"produktliste/udstyr/mc-udstyr/beklaedning/honda-racing-gloves-1/163-3011012-m.aspx?dwtemplatetags=true"
to check the correct product which was from SHOP2 (Honda MC)
Regards, Dmitrij

Hi Dmitrij,

Thanks, Great work :-)

The solution was unselecting the "Use strict URL recognition" checkbox... Another secret checkbox :-)
