I think the forum module could benefit from a "Display as" option in the same way that the News module does. It is very easy to imagine scenarios, where you want to display a list of the 5 latest threads on the frontpage - but the individual thread needs to be displayed on a page more dedicated to normal forum behaviour.
The option to display a thread on another page would be hugely helpful and could open up a lot of great usages for the forum - a module which offers some unique features in terms of frontend based control of content and community building. It is particularly useful on intranet-like solutions, we've found.
