Forms for Editors - change destination address

Hi,

 

Using Forms for Editors, in the Email template, is there a way to update the destination address?

 

The goal is to wrap the email template in a try catch, and if something goes wrong, send the email to the company mentioning something was wrong, instead of allowing it to flow through the supposed destination email.

Hi Nicolai,

 

I figured as much. Is this something it would be easilly added in the future? I think not, because the object that contains mail settings is out of scope if we try to access it within the template, but want to confirm.

It is a really really weird feature, and I need to prioritize, and this one does not climb high...

You could do a try catch, in the catch, send an email to website owner with the exception, and send your appoligies to the recipient with a note that you will get back...

Or code the template so it will not break :-)

Hi Nicolai,

 

I fully agree with you, and we were going to do exactly like you suggested, but I posted the thread allthesame in case it was easier than I expected. Unfortunately it is not.
