Hi,


We are using the Batch integration to setup users and (re)assigned them to groups. We'd like to exclude Newsletter groups but how do I identify groups as being Newsletter related?

 

I am using 8.8.1.6, with Email Marketing.

Hi Nuno,

That checkbox is only for the one group that is mentioned there ("NewsletterRecipient"), which is used for the old NewsletterV2 module, to identify newsletter recipients.

Assuming you're using Email Marketing, this checkbox does nothing.

Hi Jonas,

 

I figured as much, How about if we updated the AccessUserType value in the DB to match the old Newsletter v2 group, could that work?

 

If it does, what about exposing that in the "Edit group" page (set types of groups) and/or in the User Provider set a list of groups to exclude from the update, instead of being hardcoded.
(in fact, I'll add a feature request for that)

Hi,

I'm afraid not - it only looks at the group name.
