Reserved quantity when added to cart

Hi Guys,

I am using the reserved quantity functionality when a user adds something to cart.

The version I am using is 8.8.1.3.

I have found something strange and I want to check if somebody else found somthing similar.

If you have an initial stock value of 10 units and add 1 unit to cart, the available quantity changes to 9.

If you checkout the cart, the available quantity changes to 8 instead of 9. Just like if iut subtracts the quantity on the old cart and the quantity on the order.

I suppose the reserved quantity is not cleared after checkout.

I have set a reserved timeout of 5 minutes. If I logout and login again, the available quantity is correct. It might also be related to the timeout period.

Can anybody confirm this is a bug?

Hi,

the issue has been tested on test solution based on 8.8.1.6 admin, I've checked several scenarios using different settings of reservation/products based on general stock or stock matrix and have expected results - http://screencast.com/t/OVfdrfNk6xz2.

The same results are when cart exists and user is logged in frontend (the cart is passed to the user).

Hi Oleg,

It looks fine in your test.

Can the result be affected by any caching setting? Although improbable since the data is stored in the database?

The difference between my version (8.8.1.3 ) and your version (8.8.1.6) is not that huge. Could it still be a version issue?

I will try again and check if my script were not afected somehow by any caching. Also, in may tests I have used a logged in user. Not sure what was the case in your test.
