Shortcut to open en new tab

It would be great with a simple checkbox, where you could enable "shortcut pages" to open in a new tab.

Not sure I understand? So if a page is an external link, you want it to open a new window/tab?

Then I will suggest you add a target to the output of the navigation XSLT when it sees something external.

Yes, thats indeed posible, but wouldn't it be nice and easy to have et served as a checkbox (and a slighty altered standard navigation file)?

In my opinion it would often be the case that you need an external link, when you use the redirect option.

Personally I do not like navigation to open new windows - that is not the best usability.

But that is just me - but the problem is, that we do not want too many checkboxes that basically needs to change the output of the HTML and the HTML is generated by a template. That would often, or always, lead to the checkbox not working...
