Print order template

Sup  :)

I just finished a new template for a customer for printing orders, and then it hit me. My customer have to active choose the template each and every time a new order is to be printet... I know you can print more at a time, but anyways:

I really miss the abillity to:

  • either name the default PrintOrder template myself, or
  • have DW search for a Razor file, by default,

instead of the outdated "PrintOrder.html" file, it even selects the danmed file if its not there.
I think it could be appropriate to follow the convention and have DW look in the Templates\Design\solutionName\Ecom7\Order folder instead of the Files\Templates\Ecom7\Orderwhich is outside the best practice method for folder structure.

Thanks,

Nicolaj Nyvang

Hi Nicolaj

You are right - good input. I'll include it for the next minor release of DW.

Thanks, Nicolai

And then on top of that, it would be nice if the template could also work if it didn't contain a loop for the orders, but had template info for a single order only. That way it's easier to develop an order confirmation template (for the confirmation page or email) as you can run it against an existign order in the backend instead of going through the checkout process each time.

I totally agree, Imar.

It takes ages when testing that kind of template, and hence, would save us alot if it could be tested like that instead.
