Cleaning up the page interface

I also suggest cleaning up the page interface. The reason for this is, I assume that 90 % of users don´t need all the other stuff, and those who do - they are technically more able than those who don´t.

See my suggestion of a cleaner version

Another argument for moving Properties to the topbar, is. It is positioned amongst "single-functions" button, but it is actually a top level menu element, with a deep underlying structure - and it is confusing for the enduser.

Drafts and versions is arguable same story, so in order to clean up - I would recommend moving it to the topbar.

Hi Hans

Thank you for taking the time to look at this. Much appreciated and good suggestions.

I've restructured the Ribbon a bit based on your input - you can see it tomorrow on the public URL you have.

The workflow section could easily be moved to a new tab in the ribbon - or be made configurable to display or not. Do you use the draft - or is it also a rare used feature?

Attached an example of a restructured version as a test.

Are there any other opinions out there?

Ok this looks mutch better in my opinion.

A few costumers use draft. A guess would be it is 5-10 % of our costumers that use it, and it is a useful feature. However, if you use it in bootstrap - the compare option is not so useful, as a side by side comparison, given the nature of responsivenes. Over/Under would actually work better for responsive pages, or a tab for quick swapping between draft and published version.

Regarding page properties, I think that is one that can still cause confusions, as the normal pagemode and the properties mode is quite similar and therefore, confusing in a what is what way. I´ll look more in to how it could be less confusing, and come back with a new suggestion.

On that same interface I also noticed that the date picker isn't styled properly (see attached)

Hi Gaetan

Yes, I am aware. The date selector is being changed as we speak.
