Duplicate Friendly URL for products in separate shops

Hi Guys,

I have a serius problem in one of our setups.

I have a solution with 2 separate areas and 2 separate shops.

Each area has its own domain.

Each area has its own shop.

Each shop has it's own products. Different productID's and different ProductNumbers.
I have also set the Custom URL's to ensure unique paths for each area.

But considering all of the above, the URL provider still treats products with identical names as duplicates.

This is a problem I have outlined before on several other ocassions with different setups.

In this case however, I don't see any reason for this behavior.

I assume it is a bug.

I am using 8.7.0.0. 

Anyone know is this has been solved in newer versions?

This is not a bug, but by design.

As much as I would love to change it, it requires a significantly different approach to handle URLs in Dynamicweb. That is not a small task, but we will address the issue when we make a major update on Dynamicweb. It will cause breaking changes.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience - you should be able to work around it using URL fields on products.
