Variants not deleted

Hi,

I have an issue with a client. Their steps are:

  • Copy a similar product
  • Edit the product information
  • Go to Variants and add the Size variant group (already had Color variant group)
  • Set the variants
  • Rebuild the index (old index engine)

Result: After filtering we can see there are old color variants that were not deleted from the database when the Size group was added. Take a look at this http://screencast.com/t/MMjIj7pVsUqy

Can we avoid this? Right now the only workaround I see is to ask the client to delete all variants and save before adding new ones, but the interface should pick this up. Certainly acts like it.

Best Regards,

Nuno Aguiar

Thanks Christian

Please let us know when it is because it's causing issues in live websites in where we need to take action which we normally wouldn't have to, and this clients updates their product catalog almost daily.

Hi Kristian,

When you say Lucene index you are talking about the new index engine right? I am asking this because I don't know what's the index engine behind the old ecom index, which is what this customer uses.

Nuno Aguiar
