Capture state in confirmation email

Hi Guys,

I need to include the status of the payment in the confirmation email associated with the order status (set on the order flow).
Can anyone tell me if there is a tag available for that? Also if it renderes in that email template?

Not sure if it matters, I am using PayPal Express and the capture state is shown in Order List.

DW does not hold status of the payment since it does not know.

There are checkout handleres that can authorize from DW and checkouthandlers which can also capture from DW. But Paypal is not one of them.

So basically there is only one state which is authorized...

Hi Nicolai,

I am only interesetd to put in the email if the payment succeeded or not. That's all. I think I have confused you by using the term "Capture"

Well, payments is an authorisation and a capture. Authorisation gives the shop owner the right to charge the money when they ship the order, and capture is the actual withdrawel of the money.

Authorisation has a transaction ID on the order that you can put in the template. When the shop owner captures the amount, DW does not get updated (unless they use a checkout handler that supports capture from within Dynamicweb).
