How to detach an attached subgroup?

Is there a way to detach a subgroup which was earlier attached? A customer now created a situation where a subgroup has been attached to a group, by mistake. Is there no way to undo this?

If you are talking about groups in ecommerce, you can do that on location on the group properties: http://manual.dynamicweb-cms.com/Default.aspx?ID=7157#30166
