Load filters but not products

Hi,

 

We have an existing website using the old filters. We need to load them but not load the product list. The problem is that even leaving the Products loop out of the template, with debug=true I can see it still gets the products.

 

Is there a way to avoid this OR can we simply load the filters without loading the products maybe using another module?

Hi Nuno,

I'm not sure... but try to check "Use Lucene to retrieve products regardless of presence of filters"

in product catalog module settings

I don't know if the website was updated or not, but now that page is performing quite allright. But thanks anyway.
