new index - show empty options

Hi,

 

With the new index, we can set the facets' empty options to now be rendered, but this is done for all. Is there any way to override this for some?

 

Another question, what would be the best performance options:

  • Not show empty options
  • Not load amount of results por option
  • Both of the above

 

This is important because I have a benchmark to match (or exceed) in a project with over 50K products and about 40 filters in an already very fast website.

There is no such override option.

40 filters sounds as too many :-).

Generally you should not show empty options, since you need to render it. If it is a lot of options it takes time, especially in HTML - Razor is faster. Loading the result count per option is 'free' in the new search.

Thanks for that tip about the count per option. Glad that's the case.

 

About the 40 filters... yeah, I don't like it either but it's a very technical website and they have that already. We either match it or we may loose the business. You like Case Studies don't you? laugh
