We sometimes need to create multiple pages with the Product Catalogue module. We used to select specific groups and/or smart searchs to build the product lists the project required.
Working with the awesome new index engine, we would need to create indexes to match those basic filtering (groups), which is a downside. If we had Filtering options (like the Item Publisher - check attachment), we could have a general index, that would be easilly set up in different pages with a pre-filtering. The facets would work on top of this filtered search.
As a workaround we created a page property that the navigation is expecting, adding a query parameter to trigger the facet parameter.
