Group list - group level

Hi,

 

We are listing groups, using the product catalogue, but wanted to:

  • List top level groups
  • Once you click on a group, list all products from its child groups

 

To achive this we were expecting 1 of two things:

  • A group level tag - using LINQ to only list Level1 groups
  • A loop with only top levels/selected groups, despite the "include subgroups" checkbox

 

Neither exist and I am trying to see if it is a bug or a missing feature.

Missing feature.

But I'm sure you would be able to do this using the new index/search. In that you have a path of groups to the product, and you can combine that information with navigation and the search to do what you want.

Hi Nicolai,

 

Thanks for the suggestion, however we are not going to take it on this project. We are adding this group list feature to an existing product list with a lot of filters. We managed to exclude the groups based on childgroups > 0 (since there are only 2 group levels).

 

Either way, could this be a new feature in the group? Having the group level as a tag?
