Removing variant combination doesn't remove product row

Hi there,

When you have a complex variant set up, and then remove that variant combination again through the UI, the underlying record is not removed from the EcomProducts table.

Is that by design or is it a bug?

Hi Nicolai,

While you are at it, I also noticed that if you delete the variant from the pop-up window, it removes the product row from the database, but does not delete the variant combination (set's it back to be a simple variant).

I have mixed feelings about that behaviour. From one point seems to make sense, but the a client's experience is that it should have deleted the combination as well. Maybe having an explicit "reset" button on the variant combination list, and the "delete" button in the pop-up actually deleting the variant combination would be more explicit.

Hi all,

Yep, the bug is reproduced when specific variant/ entire variant group is deleted at ts definition, new TFS 17423 has been submitted, thanks.

Nuno, AFAIK ,it's feature - record about extended variant is removed form DB but the combination is left in variant matrix of product. Nicolai, please, comment if my view is not valid and an extra bug should be created.

The combination should not be deleted when extended variant properties are.
