Unsubscribe links stopped working

Hi,

 

After upgrading from 8.5.1.x to 8.6.0.5 the unsubscribe links from Email Marketing stopped working

 

We were using the following tags that are currently empty

  • <!--@EmailMarketing:Email.UnsubscribeLink.Clean-->   |   GetGlobalValue("EmailMarketing:Email.UnsubscribeLink.Clean")
  • <!--@EmailMarketing:Email.UnsubscribeLink-->   |   GetString("EmailMarketing:Email.UnsubscribeLink")

 

We tested in both Razor and HTML tags.

 

In turn the Email Marketing module is forcing the unsubscribe link as it's default behaviour.

 

Can anyone replicate this?

Hi Oleg,

 

Do you have a time and/or version estimate fox getting it fixed? We have a client that's currently using the module and need it fixed.

It is scheduled to fix - will be released with a hotfix 8.6.1

Hi all again,

Nuno, actually, this is working as intended as the tag notification is deprecated form 8.6: http://developer.dynamicweb.com/releases/dynamicweb-8-6/important-notes-8-6.aspx

So, solution will be provided by the fix  - warn on email save / send  if these tags exist in the design template.

Hi Oleg,

 

Yes, I agree with warining the user on email save/send. I remember reading the important notes at one point, but then completly forgot about them.

The problem TFS#17370  has now been fixed in version 8.6.1.11
