Icon template translation missing?

Hi guys,

We recently upgrade our versions to 8.5.1.19 and the old icon to translate the modules templates are missing (http://i.imgur.com/2harn8h.png). 

We cant see any way to enable this, there is any checkbox that we are missing?

It dissappears if you add the new translation level files: http://developer.dynamicweb.com/releases/older-releases/dynamicweb-8-5.aspx#14610

Hi Nicolai,

We are still using the old translation system and we not plan to migrate all the old solutions to the new system. Shouldn't the icon (in that cases) be available for the user?

Hi Antonio

If you are using Designs & Layouts, and you have a a Translations.XML file placed in /Designs or in /Designs/DesignName folders, the icon will dissappear.

Hi Nicolai,

Thank you for that info, but if we delete the translation.xml placed in /Designs we lose all the translations made in the templates. And if we set the new translation, it create a new translation file.

How can we workaround this?

Hi António

Well, yes - that is how we decided it. Move all translations from your module folders into the same translation file in Designs - and use the new user interface. Thats a lot better for your users.
