Setup new website "as new language" - permissions are bound for both

Hi everyone,

Was quite surprised to see this.

When you first make a copy of the site with "New language" button, http://screencast.com/t/5tHNv8gI

I would expect, content ofcourse be "mirrored", well that's ok,

But appearently permission rules are also bound for both. If I have 2 different User groups for 2 different languages.

Can't find a way how can I define seperate groups permissions for a page.

As soon as I set one group, it¨s the same for both Language pages.

Hi Dmitrij

It depends on your settings, see attachment.

If that checkbox is set, the master will propogate its settings to the language version. If you change the language version settings and then the master settings to something else, they will be different. Or remove the checkbox, no settings will be propogated.

Well, this is our settings, right now.

And when we adjust permissions of master(siteA), it propogates permissions further to siteB.
