You oftern use folders in the content navigation structure tree, to contain item elements as a sort of lists of items that are the same type. Eg when you use items instead of the old News module etc.
When you display these items, you typically use the Item publisher - that is set up to publish the items sorted either ascending or descending, based on one of the item fields. In News, typically sorted by date field.
It would be a great feature, if it was possible to set the same type of sorting on the item list structure itself (under the container folder), so that the editor would get the same logics in the backend structure, as it is shown in frontend.
Just as it was/is with the News module, where the news are date sorted in backend - and the newest newselement is always on top.
