Support HTML 5 in new Forms module

Hi there,

It would be nice if the new Forms module supported the new HTML 5 input types, either through dedicated form controls on the Ribbon (Email,. Number etc.) or through a drop-down on the Text type.

Agree - thought about it. We could either add all the new controls to Ribbon, or add a generic HTML5 input type that takes the new types.

Or change the regular input control to take all the HTML 5 sub types...

Any preferences?

I think either the last or the first make sense. An average user may not know (or care about HTML5) but they do know what an Email adress is. I like option 1 because then all the controls show up in the UI. However, option 3 may make it easier to switch between the types without the need to recreate the field if you change your mind about a type.
