Search Index error after upgrade to 8.6.1.4

Hi Guys,


Ever since the upgrade to 8.6.1.4 the search index keeps gettiing this error:

Error message: Unable to create backup to folder - \\dot-storage\hostroot\sites\_dotFusion\www.switchshop.ro\Files\System\_search\Products\index
Call stack: at Dynamicweb.Searching.IndexManager.UpdateIndexInternal(Indexer i, Boolean isFullUpdate, Boolean updateSpell, IDictionary`2 flags)

The permissions to the folder have not been changed and apparently the lock file is not "unlocking"

The website is using a lot of the Smart Search functionalities and they do not work without search index.

Any ideea is very appreciated.

Hi Adrian

We are not able to reproduce this in version 8.6.1.4.
Could you please try to check if you got the correct permissions on the server and try to empty all files from the index and try to rebuild again.

If you still experience problemes regarding this, please make a supportcase

Hi,

I have the same problems with this version. After update the index there is no index available and same error message. On the server the backup files are created, some files in the index folder are removed (because of that i have no index anymore). When switching to backup mode the index is available  The permissions are set correct, IIS user has full control. Do you have any solution yet for this problem
