Wouldn´t it be a very useful feature, if it was possible to export/import Items - with maybe even the related templates - so you could easily reuse/install itembased modules on websites?
Item types are found in the filemanager, Files/System/Items. They are just XML files that can be copied from one solution to another. The same with templates.
So you can make a small zip file with the templates and the XML in the right folder structure for easy install.
