Install custom module

Vi har et custom modul på en DW løsning. Der er blevet foretaget en meget lille ændring i modulet og det eksisterende modul skal nu skiftes ud med det nye build.

Er det nok at udskifte build filerne (.dll) eller er det nødvendigt at foretage sig mere for at registrere ændringerne?

If you have only made changes to the code in the module, then uploading the new dll is all the you need to do. The solution will restart and load your new module code.

BTW, please use English in the forum.

I have now replaced the .dl files, but it is not working. The module works when run on my local machine and on a remote test machine, but not on the live solution. Is there a way to force a restart of the solution or reload of the module? Or maybe another soltion?

The solution should restart when you upload a new dll to the bin folder. Are you sure that you've uploaded to the right folder on the live solution?

Hi Jim,

As Mikkel states. replacing an existing DLL should be sufficient. Obviously, if you have made changes to the GUI (like a new checkbox or alike), you should upload the corresponding aspx.

If the solution does NOT restart after uploading the DLL, you have put your DLL in the wrong spot.
