Catalog publishing - images don't appear in the PDF?

Hi all,

I am currently working with the catalog publishing option in eCommerce. I have created a print version of a product, and I am about to modify the pdf generated when hitting Create Catalog (cmd=download).. The pdf generates allright with my appropriate layout, however the images which are being displayed just fine on the frontend (before hitting create catalog) is not being rendered in the process. Any ideas on this?.

 

Got this sorted. Had to get the image by using <img src="http://<!--@Global:Request.Host--><--@Imagetaghere-->" />

Hi,

What version do you use?

Do you use Alt. images? A bug related to Alt. images in the generated PDF was fixed in 8.3.

We currently have this bug (is fixed for 8.5):
"If you use the "No images" funtionlity in Ecom - Advanced - Images then you get a default image instead of the missing product image, but in the Catalog publishing generated PDF the default image is missing and you get a red cross instead".

Hi Merete,

I am an image which is set on a custom product field :-)

Though I got it to work - I am having some minor problems with my layout. On the catalog regular page I do have some buttons/links, which allows the user to head back to a list of products which can be added to the catalog. However, when hitting the Create Catalog button, I notice it refreshes the page and generates the PDF. This is all good, though i cannot seem to remove the buttons/links from the generated pdf file. Any suggestions on this matter?
