Thanks for your post - yes you have asked this before, and I will suggest you used the search function on this forum, as a search on "random" would show you (as #2 result) your question and an answer...

My previous thread was not a feature request, but a question in the CMS forum.

No disrespect for your previous solution. It works fine,but this is sort of a workaround - as it would be a lot easier for us if random was added as a standard sort posibility, rather than having to do this in a template.

Please consider adding this as a standard feature, as it shouldn´t be a big task
