Userprovider send password

Hi Dynamicweb,

 

I am really missing an option in the Userprovider to send out passwords to new users then importing users from another system even though the password is set on the user. Right now password is only sent to users with an empty password in the import, but the other feature is really missing.

 

Hope it can be prioritized.

I see why you're missing this - It's a small thing and will be added to the 8.4.1 release.

Hi Asger,

 

I have now tried out this feature and it seems not to be working as intended, as is sends out password mails to ALL users in the import even though the user already exists in the database.

I think it is should only send out password to new users. And a quick fix will be very much appreciated! :-)

This will be fixed in 8.5 - is it urgent for you to get a fix for 8.4.1 as well?

We do now have three customers requesting this feature, so if it is possible for you to have this fixed in 8.4.1 it will be appreciated.

Hi Anders,

I have asked for this to be merged into 8.4.1 - I haven't hear if it will be in next hotfix or the hotfix right after that one. I'll let you know whenever I know!

Hi Anders,

This issue will be fixed in the upcoming hotfix 8.4.1.16

We expect this hotfix to arrive in the middle of next week.

Hi Asger,

 

We have now tested 8.4.1.16 and it still sends out mails to all users when having ticked "Generate password for users".

Mayby some new checkmarks will help (smiley):

  • Only send mail to new users
  • Overwrite exsting users passwords

The problem regarding #15718 "Data Integration - UserProvider" has now been resolved in hotfix 8.4.1.19

It will also be fixed in version 8.5.0.2 that are going to be released shortly
