Creating new language variant of website fails .

Hi , We are trying to set up a new language on one of our customers webshops. The problem is that when we do so  It runs fast and as normal until “updating links” then gets stuck.

The site structure is created but paragraphs is missing .  It works on our dev server . But the customer is using sql 2012 and our dev server have sql 2008 r2


Any ideas on how to solve this ?

Hi Manfred

 

You must elaborate on what it is that you are actually doing or trying to do. ?

Add an new language and then update links ?

I do not think the problems has anything to do with SQL version

Maybe this is related to bug #13748 ? http://developer.dynamicweb-cms.com/releases/dynamicweb-8-5/bug-fixes-8-5.aspx#item13748

This 13748 error is occured because of dead lock problem in SQL Server,

This is planned to be fixed in release in 8.5
