Pages folder in Designs folder

With all the modules folders now in the Design folder it could be nice the have all page templates in one Pages folder. To be backwards combatible the system could look up page templates in both places but you would have the option of having them in one place and thus get a more tidy design folder and a better overview of you pagetemplates in one place.

I get the point because all the module template folders in the root of the design gives a mess.

I would not like a subfolder for the layout folders though - they are the main template and the context, so maybe better with a /Modules folder that holds all the module templates?

+1 for a separate Modules folder. I like that better than separate layout folders....

I agree. Could be like Paragraph folder that could also be outside the lay-out folder and be common for all designs/layouts.

/Designs/Modules/...

or

/Designs/Mywebsite/Modules

While we are at it - could be nice to be possible to move the remaining things outside the Designs folder to it.

Hi Per,

Yes, good idea. So System becomes again what it should be: System related content, and not stuff you want to have in source control for a customer's project.

Hi Per and Imar

You can have module template folders in the root of Designs... And paragraph and Navigation folders.

Lets have a look at his at Tech Conference in the sounding board. It should be a minor change.

Is Translations in designs folder working as of now?

Found one template thing not working in designsfolder and post it here since it is related to the above:

Management center/Ecommerce/Order/Orderflow - templates for New order etc. cannot be selected outsite the Templates/eCom/Order folder even though it exists in the designs/layout folder

This should be possible with the dropdown linking to the ecom folder in the designs folder

Might also be others like this in management center?

Oh, did not see bóth of your answers.

Orderflow is not running in the context of a layout - so it cannot look in the context of one. Thats is why.

..But could be nice to have the option of linking manually (yellow folder icon) to your to the template in the ecom folder in the design folder and be able to keep all your ecom templates in the same place.
