Hi,

If an Area is deleted from DW, does that also delete the statistics tables for that area?

All areas use the same statistics table.

And no, the data is not deleted unless you purge dat from the stat table.

OK, but I guess it would be kind of hard to be able to get some statistics for an area that has been deleted. I mean there would not be any pages to refer to.

Yes, that is difficult.

On the database you could add a record on the area table and make sure it has ID of the deleted area. That would give you the possibility of finding stats in the stats module. But not for pages.
