My only idea would be to set the sorting on the EcomGroupRelations table when you do the import, or by having some code that executes once in a while.

Thanks, but do to the bug #13909 i can't do it in the import so I was looking for some workaround. To be honest I have more needs then just sorting the groups. Nicolai you are the mastermind here, is there no way to alter the grouplist before render it? override, razor, etc.... just anything that gives me some control to do it.. in near future I need to remove groups depending of what user is logged in without writing my own ecom module :)

We can fairly easy give you a notification where the arguments have a property of the groups being rendered. Then that collection can be manipulated.

That would require you to be running on the 8.4 branch and that we release a fix for you.
