Importing parts of data from AX - filling in additional in DW

And then running an import that removes all existing items and importing them as new items.

The thing is that I need to save the manually created information temporarily, so that I can import them again once the import is finished...

Is the best way to do this - to do it as part of the AX import before the actual import? And if so... how do I actually export parts of the product cataloque? I need to save the item number and some Product Fields...

Hi Martin,

Are you using the Data Integration module, or the older import/export module?

It sounds like you are using the older import/export module - if you are, I recommend switching to the Data Integration module, since that is the one we are working on, going forward.

In Data Integration, you can mark columns as "do not import", or as inactive in the import activity - if you do this, those columns will be not be overwritten. Additionally, you have the option of marking "Delete missing" which will make sure that any items you do not include in the newest import file are removed from the database.

This is the solution we recommend, in this scenario.
