Hi,
Similar to the "limit" setting, a "exclude" setting would come in handy. We tend to create 1 ou 2 paragraph templates for newsletters, and the rest for the website. It would be easier to exclude the newsletter, than limit to all of others.

Would make sense.
But if you have your layoyt, Newsletter.html, you can create a subfolder named Newsletter and place a Paragraphs folder in that one with the templates for that layout.
This of course goes for the entire layout, and not just a placeholder.

Hi Nicolai,
You mean a subfolder of my Design, or another folder on the root of the Designs folder?
Because we create the newsletter pages in the same website, and not a seperate website, a page can only have a layout from the Design folder where the website layout is set. I tried to create a subfolder within my design, but it did not work (8.3.1.1)
I also found the updated documentation to be missing some parameters regarding placeholders, for example the "limit" setting.
Best Regards,
Nuno
Hi Nuno
If you name a subfolder of your design with the exact name as one of the layout templates (without the extension), and inside that subfolder place another subfolder called paragraphs and add your newsletter paragraph templates to that folder, it will only show these templates when that layout file is used.
That is in documentation.
Yes, the limit setting is missing from docs. Will fix it.

Hi Nicolai,
Ok, I did not get that when I read the documentation (missed that part), but I got it to work now.
But what other folders/templates can we place inside that subfolder with the layout name? It's just Paragraphs?
Nuno
Hi Nuno
You can place any type of folder here. Paragraph, Navigation and any of the module templates. These folders can be placed in these locations
- Root of /Templates
- Root of /Templates/Designs
- Root of /Template/Designs/NameOfDesign
- Root of /Template/Designs/NameOfDesign/NameOfLayout
DW Will look from the bottom and up.
Module templates can only be placed here in 8.2.3+
Great, thanks
