We have a client with an ambicious feature request. This will need to happen, no matter how much custom development we must perform, however, would be great if OMC/DW helpded us.
Considerations:
- website with no extranet (however there will be a user DB and/or AccessUser table filled in)
- on sessionStart generate a cookie with a unique identifier
- integrate with facebook, and if user is logged in, link the cookie with the facebook account and data, and accurately obtain more info
- more accuratly identify an OMC profile when the user revisits (and assign that default OMC profile to the user's profile)
- have a rule in Smart Searchs to get all users of a given profile
- profiles will have no points for retuning visitors, since that fact is not relevant for profiling
I know some odd situations may occur, like the daughter having the facebook account logged in the the father visits our website, but they are prepared to deal with that data.
Can we do any of this or reuse any of Dynamicweb's info?
- Can we use the Dynamicweb.VisitorID cookie to uniquely identify the user?
- Is a user automatically assigned a default profile when revisiting the website?
- Can we filter users by default profile?
- Can we create a rule in smart searches?
