Extend product overview panel

Hej guys,

If you take a look at the attachment you can see that panel "A" is a standard product panel that has some Product fields on it.

I was wondering if I could turn Panel "A" into panel "B" somehow?

 

I must use some custom product fields, that I wanted to group together into a blue border...

 

Is that something I can do, or that could maybe be a good feature request? :-)

Hi Nicolai :)

I am talking about eCommerce administration in DW, when you click on a product (going into product overview) you can see product custom fields (that is panel A) in the image above.

And what I need here - is to find a way how can I change that standard A panel so it would look like panel B.

In other words, find a way to divide custom field values with a thin blue line or divide them into groups...

 

I hope it made it a bit more clear? :)

Hi Morten :)

Thanks for sharing this info, it is interesting, I already see some places where I could use it! :)

But for this particular example I can't really use it, but I will try to fit it somehow ... :)

Product category fields are basically just product fields that are grouped together. You can have multiple categories on a single product and the fields will be displayed in fieldsets (with blue border) on the product edit page. It know it is not the same as the basic product fields, but it does make the interface seem a lot less cluttered. You can read more about it in the eCommerce book written by Imar Spaanjaars.
