Where did DwLegendClean go?

Hi Guys

After updating to version 8.3.0.2 the tag DwLegendClean doesn't render. I can't find anything about it in the release notes. Is the tag gone for good or what happened?

Good vibes,

Jesper

Hi Jesper

DwLegend is only available for websites not using Designs & Layouts - the old "Stylesheet" approach. in 8.3 some old tags have been removed when using Designs & Layout because they where sometimes available for websites that have been converted.

you should insert a navigation instead:

<ul id="breadcrumbnav" class="dwnavigation" data-settings="template:breadcrumb.xslt;expandmode:pathonly;"></ul>

Using the attached xslt. Also see the Designs & Layout documentation.

Ok, thanks.

But if that is the recommended approach, then it would be really nice if the ShowInBreadcrumb info on the pages was available i the navigation xml.

Good vibes,

Jesper

Hi Jesper

The attribute is called "ShowInLegend" and has been available for the past 3 years.

It is not in my navigation xml on version 8.3.0.2. Do I have to activate it somewhere?

Good vibes,

Hi Nicolai,

It seems that there is a problem with the new solution you suggest:

- Often people have pages which are hidden in menu, but shown in legend.

In such case your standard solution XSLT provided as a fix for your decition to remove the tag "DwLegendClean" does not provide a working solution.

We partners experience that your decition to remove standard functionality will cost our customers hours of work, which is not fair.

Please can you provide a copy and paste work around so that we do not have to charge our customers for a change in your product.

That would be a good behaviour from Dynamicweb.

We have a similar issue with the new "Languages" loop. If a page is marked with "hide in menu" (published, but hidden) then the user cannot switch between languages in front end - http://developer.dynamicweb-cms.com/forum/feature-requests/languages-and-hidden-pages.aspx
