New prices if logged in

Hi people

Is it possible to set two different prices on a product? One price for customers who are not logged in and another price for customers who are logged in?

For instance:

Product 1.

Normal price: 120 DKK.

Logged in price: 85 DKK

I need to be able to determin two set prices for each product, so it is not enough to use a percentage or a "50 DKK off" option.

Will the new price matrix be able to handle this?

If this is possible, then a follow-up question is wether is possible to extend this to 3 or more prices? So we are able to set a "normal price", a "member price" and maybe a "gold member price" and so forth.

Maybe with user groups?

Hope you can help.

/Rune

Hi Rune,

You should be able to do this with the "Product price-field" discount where the price is taken from a custom field on the product if the discount applies. You can limit the discount to users in a specific group.

Hope this helps,

Imar

Hi Rune,

Apart from Imar's suggestion you may consider the upcoming pricematrix for 8.3. Actually it's just sugar, as it is saved in the same location as in Imar's suggestion.

GUI from 8.3:

As you can see you can have prices for specific users and specific groups. If a logged in user applies to multiple prices, the lowest price will be selected.

Hope this answers your question. :-)

Hi Morten,

I cannot see the option for user and user group using 8.3.0.2. Do I need some special config for that? I am using a Professional (CMS) with Basic eCom license

Hi Nuno

You need the Multi Shop Advanced module in order to see all columns.

Check the grey section in the paragraph about Prices:

Kind regards,

Hi Merethe,

Well, that's an unfortunate surprise, since it was announced and the module is in BETA. Do you know if at least that functionality is stable? It would prevent us from custom developing something. We do not need the remaining advanced features.

Hi Nuno

It is stable. Send Jeppe an email with the solution on which you need the user. He can get the module activated on the solution if it is within the license.
