Full blown extranet functionality

It would be great if the extranet features included:

  • A way to show error/success messages when a user requests a forgotten password – Or even better, a reset password function, with confirmation mail.
  • Redirect option on sign in and sign out, with a flag option to overrule the start page specified on the user/group.
  • A tag that containing info if a user that is already logged in and then tries to access a page that requires other/more rights.
  • An auto login option.
  • Possibility of adding extranet login on a paragraph just as you can with all other modules.

especcially for the reset password, where you have to click the link to a "set new password" page. Provides a more trustworthy procedure for the end user.

 

The link should only be available for X hours or until the user tries to "reset password" again

Hi Guys

Any news on this subject?

We are considering to use the new Email Marketing module on a large solution with many users, but with the lack of these basic functions, i am not sure if it is the way to go.

Hi,

  1. We will look into the reset password function - it won't be ready in 8.4 but hopefully in 8.4.1 or 8.5
  2. You can add "Redirect" to the URL and specify a URL to redirect to - that overrules the URL set on the user
  3. Can't you solve this with looking at the DW.Extranet.AccessUserID on the login template that will occur if you try to access a page without having the rights?
  4. You mean like browsers has? Or?
  5. I think that will make perfectly sense - we handle this somehow on the solution set but I see your point and will add it to the roadmap
