Combine eComQuery search with Filters?

Hi guys,

I am trying to combine eComQuery search with Filters. :-)

I have a prod catalog with search.

I also have setup some search filters.

Note: Search works with no filters and Filters work with no search.

When I combine them I put them under one form. And I am making sure URL (url parameters) are correct. But it feels like it in that situation it (if I use both) it gives me search results, and ignores filtering parameters.

Same happens even if I craft URL by hand, it just shows search results but ignores filters :-(

is there any work around, or am I doing something wrong, or need to use it in some other way?

Regards,

Dmitrij

Hi Dmitrij

That is not possible. And yes, you are doing something wrong.

It is 2 different search engines - parameters from one cannot be used on the other.

In filtered search you can do all the same things as with eComQuery - and a hole lot more, so stick with only that.

Hej Nicolai,

You confirmed my suspicions, that's ok. I will take action will see what we can do.

So thanks allot for quick response! :-)

But you are saying Filtered search - not sure how do I include that into Filters?

And if I understood you correctly, we must stick to Filters in this case and include search in it, is that right?

Maybe there are some basic suggestions, some snippets, or any kind of resources about this?

And again, thanks allot for help! :-)

Regards,

Dmitrij
